Charlotte, NC · Information TechnologyThe Funding and Liquidity Management Technology team of this major financial institution is seeking a talented Application System Engineer 6 to help support their applications. Collateral & Margin Management team has responsibility to implement and support enterprise-wide UMR and FINRA 4210 regulatory initiatives. The scope of this work includes participating in building and supporting the overall regulatory implementation and also support platform stability initiatives.
Responsibilities include: Developing application enhancements or development for new projects and interfaces including data-mapping and message flows. He or she will participate in troubleshooting of customer issues and production incidents. Provides training and guidance to less experienced developers. Provides or reviews designs and documents technical specifications by analyzing highly complex business requirements or redesigning complex computer platforms and applications. Works with on-site contractors or Wells Fargo offshore teams. The candidate should provide technical consultation to ensure contractors are following Wells Fargo development standards. Performs code reviews to ensure requested functionality is implemented to meet both functional and performance expectations. Helps or participate in performance/load tests. Verify program logic by overseeing the preparation of test data, testing and debugging of programs. Oversee overall systems testing and the migration of platforms and applications to production. Develop new documentation, departmental technical procedures and user guides. Assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported areas.
Successful candidate leads application development, implementation and support efforts on multiple platforms. Acts as a lead in providing application design guidance and consultation, utilizing a thorough understanding of applicable technology, tools and existing designs. Analyzes highly complex business requirements, designs and writes technical specifications to design or redesign complex computer platforms and applications. Provides coding direction to less experienced staff or develops highly complex original code. Acts as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation and analysis efforts. Verifies program logic by overseeing the preparation of test data, testing and debugging of programs. Oversees overall systems testing and the migration of platforms and applications to production. Develops new documentation, departmental technical procedures and user guides. Leads projects, allocates and manages resources and manages the work of less experienced staff. Assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area and oversees creation of or updates to and testing of the business continuation plan. Executes code walkthroughs to confirm Enterprise policies are being followed and efficient code is being utilized.

Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of application development and implementation experience
- A BS/BA degree or higher
- 7+ years of C# or Java experience
- 7+ years of SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) experience
- 5+ years of experience leading the requirement design process with both technical and business partners
- 7+ years of computer application development experience
- 5+ years of PL/SQL experience
- Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- 1+ year of Hadoop experience
- 1+ year of Tableau experience
